Bankshots
Biography & Highlights
Olive Drive don't care about your indie cred when you pull up to Bankshots on a Friday night. It's a sprawling sports bar with a massive neon sign buzzing over the front glass, bleeding crimson light onto the asphalt. The parking lot's already choked with lifted trucks and sedans, and the bass is thumping right through the drywall before you even pay the cover.
Inside, it's loud as hell. There's a towering stage jammed into the corner where local metal bands and cover acts set up right beneath a bank of glowing TVs. You're dodging pool cues, spilled pitchers of domestic lite, and sweaty moshers spilling off the floor while the bartender is slinging drinks four deep. It's grimy, chaotic, and smells heavily of fried food and stale draft beer.
Sound bounces hard off the low ceiling and concrete floors, turning every guitar riff into a wall of noise. You can't hear yourself think, but nobody's here for a chat anyway. Security is posted by the bathrooms watching the pit, and the floor's soaked in something you don't want to look at too closely.
